10 positives to come out of the current situation I find myself in
I’m doing an extra 30 minutes workout each day with my family, (thank you, Joe Wicks, you clever man), which we’ve never done before, and all enjoying starting the day exercising together and having a laugh, it is something we will carry on doing as part of our morning routine.
I’m stopping working at four o’clock in the afternoon for the ongoing World Cup football match in the back garden. So far Pele is beating Zinedine Zidane and Ryan Giggs 373-346.
Surprisingly, I’m enjoying not watching sport on television, sorry Sky Sports, BT Sport I’m not convinced you’re coming back!
I’ve learnt, from hundreds of emails I’ve received, every business who has my email address takes the welfare of its staff seriously, which is reassuring?!@
I’m a tiny cog in a fantastic, over 100 strong, group of volunteers who have set up a 24/7 manned telephone service, put a leaflet through everyone’s door in the village, a community who are helping in any way we can, local people who are affected in any way by the new C-word.
I’ve started talking to, coaching and mentoring, some business owners as we look to get things into great shape for when we come through this challenging period of our business lives, it could be the start of something new.
I’ve gone through all the, ‘it’s ok, it’s only a few pounds’ subscriptions or services we really can do without, or aren’t using, and saved hundreds of pounds per month!
I’ve discovered Zoom virtual backgrounds.
I’m making a big effort to plan something really tasty and healthy to eat at lunchtime every day.
I’m ticking off those little jobs around the house that I’ve been putting off, or not made time for for the last few years.
What positive changes are you making during this period?
