What is the impression of your business when people call you?

What is the impression of your business when people call you?

I make business development calls every morning.

I am often amazed by how poorly incoming calls to a business are dealt with, many times no answer at all, calls to answer phones with no personal message recorded and calls answered by what would appear to be a very junior staff.

If I was looking to buy from these businesses rather than help them source key and critical staff it wouldn’t fill me with confidence.

I question how these businesses present themselves to potential employees. With all the answering services and technology available, I can’t believe it is hard to create an impressive window to a business, and offer a good first impression, or don’t business rely on the phone so much these days?
